  • Jan. 8, 2009 - Committee Meeting at 7:00 pm - Methodist Church
  • Jan. 15, 2009 - Pack Meeting 7:00 pm - Methodist Church - Fellar Cake Bake
  • Feb. 8, 2009 - Scout Sunday 10:15 am at Methodist Church
  • Feb. 12, 2009 - Committee Meeting at 7:00 pm - Methodist Church
  • Feb. 19, 2009 - Pack Meeting 6:30 pm at Methodist Church.  Blue & Gold Banquet - We will be having an informal banquet with popcorn, snacks and drink along with the movie "Down & Derby".  This will be a night to invite friends to come and join the fun!  The movie is 90 minutes long.
  • March 12, 2009 - Pack Meeting 7:00 pm at Methodist Church.  Pinewood Derby Time Trials.
  • March 14, 2009 - Pinewood Derby Races at Methodist Church.  Check in starts at 9:00 am, Best of Show at 10:00 am, Racing at 10:30 am. Miss Hoopeston Callie Huffman will be singing the National Anthem at the beginning of the race. Phil Lithgow, sales representative at Lithgow Automotive will be our best of show judge.
  • March 29, 2009 - Fast Fun Day at Warden Martin in Champaign 1:00 pm.  Open Pinewood Derby races for all ages.
  • April 4, 2009 - Council Pinewood Derby Championships at Lincoln Square Mall, registration begins at 9:00 am, Race/Show begins at 11:00 am.  Top four racers and best of show from Pack 118 can advance to this championship race.
  • April 9, 2009 - Committee Meeting 7:00 pm - Methodist Church
  • April 16, 2009 - Raingutter Regatta Boat Building during meeting.  The cubmaster will have boats pre-painted for scouts to choose from and allow them to finish building them.  Races will be at pack meeting in May.  
  • May 7, 2009 - Committee Meeting 7:00 pm - Methodist Church
  • May 21, 2009 - Pack Meeting 7:00 pm at Methodist Church.  Raingutter Regatta Races.  Advancement ceremony for Dens.
  • June 26-27, 2009 - Camping/Fishing at Conservation Clug in Hoopeston 3:00 pm on Friday to 8:00 am on Saturday.  Meal provided by Troop 118 Boy Scouts
  • July 9-10, 2009 - Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort in Uticah, IL.  This will be our summer Cub Scout getaway.  Staying overnight in 4 Villas with waterpark/amusement park included.  Starts at 1:00 pm on Thursday July 9th. 
  • Sept. 5, 2009 - Cub Scouts in Sweetcorn Festival Parade, parade starts at 10:30 am - handing out candy bags with Cub Scout info on the bags.
  • Sept. 11, 2009 - Scout Registration Night, all New and Former Cub Scouts should come to the Hoopeston Methodist Church to register.  6:30-7:30 pm
  • Sept. 18, 2009 -Pack Meeting  at the Methodist Church 7:00 pm - Popcorn Seminar!  Learn how we sold over $10,000 worth of popcorn each year in the last 2 years!  Prizes will be displayed for viewing and Mike Graham will be there with shirts, books and patches for sale.  Learn how you can pay for your shirt through the popcorn sales.
  • Sept. 14, 2009 - Den leaders may pick up the Popcorn Sales Forms at the Okinawan School of Karate located behind Ungers Jewelry.
  • Sept. 26, 2009 - Popcorn Sales Start
  • Oct. 4, 2009 - Cub Scouts Show-n-Sell at Olympic Hardware form 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Oct. 9-10, 2009 - Cub Scouts camping with Boy Scouts at Conservation Club (not yet confirmed at this moment) starting at 4 pm on Friday and going to Saturday morning.  Bring camping equipment, fishing pole and enough food and drink for the evening, we will have a campfire.  If you need a tent the Boy Scouts have plenty.
  • Oct. 16, 2009 - Pack Meeting at Methodist Church 7:00 pm - Engineering theme, build one of the most difficult paper airplanes to build and enjoy the fun!
  • Oct. 25, 2009 - Smilin' Pumpkin 1:00 pm at Camp Drake.
  • Oct. 30, 2009 - Popcorn Sales End - Bring money, order forms and have your child pick out the prizes they want.  Please come in between 6:00-7:30 pm at the Church.  If you are unable to come on Friday between 6:00-7:30 you can also bring your money and order forms to the Karate school on Thursday between 4:30 & 8:15 pm.
  • Nov. 14, 2009 - Popcorn Pickup Day - all popcorn will be available for pickup at the Methodist Church to distribute to your customers at 10:00 am.
  • Nov. 20, 2009 - Pack Meeting at Methodist Church 7:00 pm - Pinewood Derby Seminar!  Learn tips and tricks in building a cool and fast car!
  • Dec. 18, 2009 - Pack Meeting starting at 5:00 pm at the Nursing Home - Christmas Caroling at the Hoopeston Nursing Home, 6:00 pm -  Pizza and the Down & Derby movie back at the Methodist Church bring pillow and sleeping bag if you desire.
