  • January 17, 2008 -  Pack Meeting (Feller Cake Bake)
  • February 10, 2008 - Scout Sunday at the Methodist Church
  • February 21, 2008 - Pack Meeting (Blue & Gold Banquet)
  • March 13, 2008 - This will be our regular Pack Meeting along with our Time Trials for the Derby.  Preliminary weigh-in for Pinewood Derby (we will offer an early weigh-in on this Thursday, there will be an eye examination and a drivers test on this day so you can make sure your car is ready for the race on Saturday!)
  • March 15, 2008 - Pinewood Derby! (On Saturday this Year) -  Official weigh-in and inspection starts at 9:00 am, "Best of Show" judging begins at 9:45 am, race will start approximately 10:00 am.  We will also have a Celebrity Race during intermission around 11:00 am.  Don't forget about our family race after the scout race is over.  Any family can enter - this race will be for fun and maybe a few grudge matches.  Citizen of the Year Lou Graham will be our Best of Show judge and Miss Hoopeston Brooke Judy will lead us in the National Anthem before the races.
  • April 12, 2008 - Council Pinewood Derby Championships at Lincoln Square Mall in Urbana.  Registration starts at 9:00 am, races start at 11:00 am.
  • April 17, 2008 - Pack Meeting - Cub Scout slide show with music!
  • May 15, 2008 - Last Pack Meeting (Graduation to Boy Scouts for Webelos II and Promotions to next Den Level for other scouts) 
  • June 22, 2008 - Cub Scout Picnic / Raingutter Regatta at the Cubmaster's House at 12:00  noon.  Bring your favorite dish of choice, hamburgers, hot dogs and drink will be provided.  We will run our Regatta (boat) races after lunch.  $5.00 to recieve Regatta to race for Trophies - "Best of Show" and "Speed"  We will offer a family race for this event also.
  • July 10, 2008 - 7:00 pm at Methodist Church - Meeting for those who are going on the Holiday World trip.
  • July 14 & 15, 2008 - Camping in Indiana at Lincoln State Park and Holiday World!  Each scout family will need to make a $20.00 deposit by May 15th to secure their tickets for each scout and one parent for Holiday World.  Deposit will be refunded when you show up for the trip on July 14th.  Other parents and siblings may purchase tickets at our group discount and are welcome to attend all the fun with Pack 118!
  • August 14, 2008 - Committee Meeting 7:00 pm at the Methodist Church (Cub Scout & Boy Scout) meeting.  Need to discuss entries for Parade plus upcoming events.
  • August 30, 2008 - Sweetcorn Festival Parade 10:30 am.
  • September 4, 2008 - Scout Registration Night 6:30-7:30 pm at the Hoopeston Methodist Church.  There will also be a committee meeting afterwards.
  • September 18, 2008 - First Pack Meeting for the season 7:00 pm at the Hoopeston Methodist Church.  We will hand out popcorn sales materials and discuss our goals.  Don't miss the first meeting of the scouting season.
  • October 9, 2008 - Committee Meeting at 7:00 pm.
  • October 16, 2008 - Pack Meeting 7:00 pm at the Methodist Church.  This will be game night.
  • Oct. 26, 2008 - All popcorn order forms and money need to be turned in on this date.  We will be at the Methodist Church at 1:30 pm to take all the order forms and money.  Please pick out your prizes and bring that information also.  If you can't make it on this date, please contact Mike Webb and set up an earlier date to get your order form and money handed in.  We also need all show-n-sell turned back in as well, on this date.
  • Nov. 13, 2008 - Committee Meeting at 7:00 pm - Methodist Church
  • Nov. 15, 2008 - Popcorn distributed to Pack at the Methodist Church - time to be announced.
  • Nov. 20, 2008 - Pack Meeting 7:00 pm at Methodist Church.  Pinewood Derby building seminar.
  • Dec. 11, 2008 - Committee Meeting at 7:00 pm - Methodist Church
  • Dec. 18, 2008 - Christmas Caroling 6:00 pm at Hoopeston Nursing Home.
